"Tennessee's ELVIS Act: Protecting Artists from AI Impersonation"
Gov. Bill Lee is set to sign the ELVIS Act into law in downtown Nashville, aiming to protect Tennessee artists from the unauthorized replication of their voices by artificial intelligence. The new law, introduced in January and sponsored by Rep. William Lamberth and Sen. Jack Johnson, adds voice protections to existing image and likeness safeguards in the state. The signing will take place at Robert’s Western World on Thursday at 12 p.m.
