Take-Two's Crackdown on AI Mods for GTA 5

Take-Two has forced the removal of a Grand Theft Auto 5 mod that utilized generative AI, citing copyright claims. The mod, called Sentient Streets, featured over 30 AI-generated voices for conversations with non-playable characters. The mod's creator, known as Bloc, claimed that Take-Two took a non-communicative approach and did not contact them prior to issuing a DMCA takedown. The mod has been removed from modding platform Nexus Mods, YouTube, and other platforms to avoid legal issues.
