Bulgarian election results remain uncertain after fifth vote in two years.
No clear winner has emerged in Bulgaria's election, with the pro-Western coalition, Continuing the Change and Democratic Bulgaria, and the center-right establishment party, GERB, both scoring close results. The vote is seen as a make-or-break test for GERB, whose leader Boyko Borissov served as prime minister until nationwide protests erupted over his government's role in the country's corruption. If the country fails to produce a functioning government, it could undermine its hopes of joining the eurozone in the future and effectively using its EU COVID recovery aid.
