Miraculous Rescue: Missing Children Found Alive in Amazon After 40 Days
Four children, aged 1 to 13, who were found after surviving 40 days in the Amazon rainforest following a plane crash, have been released from the hospital and are in good health, according to Colombian authorities. The children had been receiving treatment at a military hospital in Bogota since their rescue on June 9. They are now staying at a shelter home run by the Colombian Children Welfare Agency. The agency will present a case in family court to determine legal custody of the children, as both the father and maternal grandparents have requested custody.
