Salesforce is reportedly in advanced discussions to acquire Informatica, a cloud data management company based in Redwood City, California, with a market value of about $11.4 billion. Informatica's shares have risen 36% this year to $38.48, and the company projected a 6% increase in fiscal-year revenue to $1.7 billion.

Cloud data management company Snowflake has acquired search start-up Neeva, which was founded by two former Google employees. Neeva had been working on a standalone generative AI search app called Gist before it shut down its consumer search offering to focus on enterprise products. Snowflake was attracted to Neeva's ability to leverage generative AI in search, which allows users to ask questions and interact with the search tool. The founders of Neeva will now work on building AI search solutions on top of Snowflake's cloud data management solution.
