Jamaica receives $200m boost to combat dengue outbreak
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced an additional $200 million to combat Jamaica's dengue outbreak. $70 million will be allocated to schools for partnership with the National Solid Waste Management Authority, while $126 million will be used for household and community clean-up exercises. This comes after the Ministry of Health and Wellness declared a dengue outbreak in Jamaica on September 23, with the number of cases reaching 1,117 as of September 29.
