Paul Finebaum has been removed from all ESPN appearances by Disney following an interview with Clay Travis where he expressed interest in running for the U.S. Senate in Alabama, although ESPN denies the report. Finebaum continues to host his radio and TV show but has missed some recent ESPN programs amid speculation about his political ambitions.
OutKick founder Clay Travis conducted an experiment at a concert in Nashville where he offered free beer, concluding that drinking Bud Light is now taboo in public. Travis posted several videos of his cooler throughout the night, showing that no one would take the Bud Light all night long. Overall consumption of Bud Light is now down 26%, and many are now avoiding the beer to avoid being mocked for drinking it. Bud Light faced massive backlash after a marketing gimmick with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, and the company's marketing vice president and her boss have since been placed on leave. Travis warns that this is a warning to all brands out there that have learned over the past 20 years or so there are no consequences for going super woke in terms of trying to appeal to the far left wing in this country.
