"July 1: A Wave of New Laws Across Multiple States"
Several new laws in Nevada will take effect on July 1, including a tax break for cigar smokers, the ability to buy cigarettes at casinos, mail theft becoming a felony, police being able to tow vehicles of reckless drivers, mandatory coverage of gender-affirming care by health insurers, the renaming of Nevada State College to Nevada State University, the requirement for locking devices on all gun purchases, and increased sentencing for reckless driving in school or pedestrian zones.
