
"Newton Triple Homicide: No Bail for Suspect as Cardinal Holds Special Mass in Rome"
A 41-year-old Newton man, Christopher Ferguson, has been charged with murder and other charges in connection with the deaths of three elderly people in Newton. The victims, Gilda and Bruno D'Amore, and Lucia Arpino, were found with apparent knife injuries and blunt force trauma in their home. Ferguson was ordered held without bail and a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. Ferguson's ex-girlfriend stated that he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and had been in a manic episode since February. A Mass of Peace was held in memory of the victims.
