Chinese startup Orienspace successfully launched its Gravity-1 all-solid rocket, setting a new record for payload capacity for Chinese commercial rockets. The rocket, which lifted off from a sea platform, carried three satellites into orbit for Yunyao Yuhang, a company aiming to build a constellation for global weather forecasting. Orienspace plans to conduct two more Gravity-1 launches in 2024 and is also working on developing larger liquid propellant rockets for future missions.
