Berkshire Hathaway, owned by Warren Buffett, has sold 2.53 million Hong Kong-listed shares worth $86.3 million in Chinese electric automaker BYD, reducing its holdings from 9.21% to 8.98%. Berkshire has been steadily selling shares since last August, despite investing $232 million for a stake in the company in 2008. BYD sold nearly 1.9 million cars last year including pure electrics, plug-ins and hybrids.

Chinese automaker BYD has launched an intelligent body control system called DiSus, which comes in four sets of vehicle control systems and can increase vehicle safety by adapting to everyday driving scenarios.
