Airbnb CFO Dave Stephenson Transitions Amid Company's Turning Point
Airbnb's Chief Financial Officer, Dave Stephenson, will be transitioning into a newly created role as Chief Business Officer, effective January 2024. This move comes as Airbnb reaches an "inflection point" and focuses on growth across existing and new businesses. Stephenson's replacement as CFO will be Ellie Mertz, Airbnb's vice president of finance. The company's CEO, Brian Chesky, expressed confidence in Stephenson's ability to drive international expansion, grow global host supply, and lead business and corporate development activities. Catherine Powell, another longtime executive at Airbnb, will also be leaving the company next year.
