Kellogg renames snacking unit to Kellanova.
Kellogg's snacking unit, which includes popular brands like Pringles and Cheez-Its, will be named Kellanova as part of the company's plan to split into two independent public companies. The North American cereal unit will be renamed WK Kellogg Co. The spinoff is planned for the end of this year, and the Kellogg's name will remain on brand packaging. The Latin word "nova," which means new, is meant to signal Kellanova's ambition to be a global snacking powerhouse.
