"Adapting NHL Scouting Combine Plans for Rising Teams"

NHL Central Scouting has a backup plan for its annual scouting combine in Buffalo if the Sabres make a deep playoff run, with interviews moved to the hotel if necessary. The combine includes physical testing and interviews with prospects, and is attended by NHL scouts and other personnel. The Sabres' rise could cause scheduling conflicts, but Central Scouting director Dan Marr said the event would adjust if necessary.
