Oregon Mom Convicted for Treating Daughter's Cancer with CBD Oil
Christina Dixon, an Oregon mother, has been found guilty of custodial interference and criminal mistreatment for using alternative medicine, including CBD oil, to treat her daughter's liver cancer and for keeping her away from scheduled surgery. Dixon and her daughter were found in Las Vegas after being declared wards of the state. Supporters claim that the alternative treatment shrunk the tumor, but the American Cancer Society states that while cannabinoids may be safe, they do not show evidence of controlling or curing cancer. Dixon's sentencing has been delayed as she searches for a new attorney.
