Jude Law's Unconventional Portrayal of Henry VIII in 'Firebrand'
Jude Law, who plays King Henry VIII in the movie "Firebrand," wanted to fully embody the monarch's pungent smell and recruited a perfumer to create a scent of "puss, blood, fecal matter and sweat." Law initially used the scent subtly, but then began dousing himself in it before filming. Director Karim Aïnouz admitted that when Law walked on set, it was "just horrible."
