Ex-Las Vegas Cop Sentenced to 12 Years for $165K Casino Heists
Caleb M. Rogers, a former Las Vegas police officer, has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for robbing three casinos, including one where he brandished his service firearm. Rogers, who was low on funds due to a gambling addiction, stole over $160,000 from the Red Rock, Aliante, and Rio casinos between November 2021 and February 2022. He was found guilty of three counts of robbery and one count of brandishing a firearm, and was ordered to pay over $85,000 in restitution. Rogers was captured on security cameras during the heists and was eventually tackled by security personnel at the Rio casino.
