Bonded Tapir and Capybara Euthanised on the Same Day at Newquay Zoo
Keepers at Newquay Zoo euthanised Johnson, a nine-year-old capybara, and Al, a 20-year-old Brazilian tapir, on the same day due to age-related health issues, saying the move would spare them loneliness after one another’s loss and that both were beloved by staff and visitors.
