Minnesota's Humane Society 'Walk for Animals' Proceeds Without Dogs Due to Canine Influenza
The annual Walk for Animals celebration in Minnesota will go on, but for the first time, dogs (except service animals) won't be allowed due to the recent canine influenza outbreak. The decision was made to follow social-distancing guidelines issued by the Minnesota Board of Animal Health to keep animals safe and healthy. The 1-mile walk through the Minnesota State Fairgrounds is the Animal Humane Society's largest fundraiser of the year.
