Canadian Man Loses Job for Rescuing Baby Moose from Bear
A Canadian man, Mark Skage, claims he was fired from his job at AFD Petroleum Inc. after rescuing a moose calf from a potential bear attack. Skage found the abandoned moose on the side of the road and decided to bring it into his truck, against the law. He named the moose Misty and arranged for her to be taken to a rehab center. However, his employer disagreed with his actions and terminated his employment, stating that he should have called a conservation officer instead. Skage criticized the company for prioritizing fuel spills over wildlife.
