Italian Lawmaker Proposes Punishing English Language Usage.
An Italian lawmaker from the Brothers of Italy party has proposed legislation that would impose fines on those who use English or other foreign languages in official communications and documents, in an effort to combat "Anglomania." The legislation would also require all public officials to be fluent in Italian and foreign entities operating in the country to issue Italian editions of internal regulations and employment contracts.
