Mount Everest Claims Lives Amid Dangerous Conditions and Missing Climbers
A British climber, Daniel Paul Paterson, and his Sherpa guide, Pas Tenji, went missing after reaching the summit of Mount Everest and falling on the Chinese side of the mountain. Nepali officials stated that a search is currently not possible due to the high altitude and the need for coordination with Chinese authorities. This climbing season has seen multiple fatalities, and concerns over overcrowding and littering on Everest continue to grow.
