Jakob Nowell, son of late Sublime lead singer Bradley Nowell, performed with original band members at Coachella, marking a new chapter in the band's story. Following Bradley Nowell's death, Sublime essentially dissolved, but the original members went on to form new bands. At Coachella, Sublime played classic hits with Jakob Nowell's vocals sounding hauntingly similar to his father's. Nowell, who was just 11 months old when his father died, considers the original members his "family" and finds closure in stepping into this role. Sublime with Rome is on a farewell tour, but Nowell, Gaugh, and Wilson plan to continue playing together at various events in the future.
