"Bonner County Experiences Intense Aurora Activity"
Bonner County in North Idaho has been experiencing frequent sightings of the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights, in recent weeks. While not as bright as in Alaska or Iceland, the lights can still be jaw-dropping and are best captured on phone cameras. The auroras occur when solar storms interact with the Earth's atmosphere, creating a magnificent display of lights. Although it is difficult to predict when the auroras will happen, the increased solar activity predicted for 2024 and 2025 may provide more opportunities to witness this natural phenomenon.
