However, smoking in public and while driving is still prohibited. Currently, there are no state laws regulating the sale of marijuana, but lawmakers are expected to change that soon. The Ohio Senate has passed a bill allowing existing medical marijuana dispensaries to sell recreational marijuana, but it still needs approval from the House.
