Illegal Medical Lab Unearthed in Reedley Leaves Authorities Stunned
An investigation in Reedley, California, uncovered a large-scale illegal medical lab inside a warehouse, complete with bioengineered mice, infectious agents, and numerous refrigerators and freezers. The discovery was made after a garden hose was illegally attached to the building. Officials found over 800 different chemicals, including unknown substances, and thousands of vials containing biohazardous materials. Testing revealed the presence of at least 20 potentially infectious agents, including E. Coli, malaria, and COVID-19. The lab's owners operated under the name Prestige Biotech, and a criminal investigation is ongoing. The biohazard material has been properly contained and disposed of, and there is currently no public concern.
