Shkipin used AI to enhance certain details in the artwork, although there was no disclosure about the use of AI in the book. It is unclear if others involved in the production were aware of this. Shkipin is known for using AI art generators and operating an NFT marketplace, which has caused controversy within the D&D community. Wizards of the Coast, the publisher, was not aware of the use of AI art and plans to update their guidelines to prevent similar incidents in the future.
