Mother of 6-year-old Virginia school shooter faces bench trial.

Deja Taylor faces charges of child neglect and recklessly leaving a loaded firearm so as to endanger a child. Her attorney plans to cite her several miscarriages, an ectopic pregnancy in January 2022, and post-partum depression as “mitigating factors.” The boy is not being criminally charged.
