Barber Ranen Law Firm Rebrands After Offensive Email Scandal

Barber Ranen, a law firm that was recently created by former Lewis Brisbois partners, John Barber and Jeffrey Ranen, has rebranded itself as Daugherty Lordan after the partners resigned in disgrace due to the leak of their racist, sexist, homophobic, and antisemitic emails. The new firm will be led by Melissa Daugherty and Joe Lordan, and is composed of 60% female attorneys. While all lawyers who moved from Lewis Brisbois to Barber Ranen are still at the new firm, about a dozen are in talks with the firm they left not long ago, in the hopes of returning to their former jobs.
