Her attorney criticized the arrest as a waste of law enforcement resources, emphasizing that she is not charged with violence or property destruction. The Supreme Court recently agreed to hear a case involving Jan. 6 defendants disputing an obstruction charge, which could have implications for former President Trump's criminal cases. Over 300 people have been charged in connection with the Capitol breach.
