The first-ever iOS trojan, GoldPickaxe, has been discovered stealing facial recognition data to access bank accounts, marking a new level of threat for iPhone users. Adapted from the Android trojan GoldDigger, this malware collects biometric data and intercepts SMS to gain unauthorized access to victims' banking accounts. The trojan is currently active in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand and Vietnam, and is distributed through a sophisticated multi-stage social engineering scheme, posing a significant cybersecurity risk.
