Spanish Fort officials have reported cases of eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) within the city and surrounding areas. They are working with health departments to set up mosquito traps for testing and advise residents to take precautions such as using mosquito repellent, maintaining fly screens, and removing stagnant water to prevent breeding.
