AMD fixes power connector issue on RX 7600 reference design.

AMD will fix the reference design of its upcoming Radeon RX 7600 graphics card to support all power cables before its market release. The current design has issues with some 6+2-pin cables not fully inserting into the card due to the backplate design. This issue was discovered by reviewers, but since the design is not yet available for sale, there is no worry that anyone else will have issues with their cables. AMD expects the fixed reference design to be available in the coming weeks.

Some 6+2pin power cables may not fit properly into the connector slot of AMD's reference model of the Radeon RX 7600 due to the backplate cover extending too far, which may block a small bump on some of these power cables. This issue only affects 20% of the cables tested and should not impact native 8-pin power cables. Users can use alternative cables, cable extenders, or remove the backplate entirely to resolve the issue. AMD is planning to sell its MBA reference card later, which was not originally planned.
