
Wildfires continue to ravage New Jersey despite containment efforts.
A wildfire that started in a wooded area near Charlotteburg Reservoir along Route 23 in West Mildford, North Jersey, has spread 140 acres and is still zero percent contained, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. Crews are working to contain the fire and have begun a backfiring operation. Route 23 and Echo Lake Road are closed in the area, and 10 structures are threatened by the blaze.
