
Zelensky Pays Tribute to Jewish Victims of Babyn Yar Massacre
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial to commemorate the 82nd anniversary of the Babyn Yar massacre, where over 33,000 Jewish individuals were killed. Zelensky, who is Jewish himself, stated that Judaism in Ukraine is thriving without discrimination. He congratulated the Jewish community on the occasion of the Sukkot holiday and was assured by the deputy chairman of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine that they will celebrate with pride and without fear. The ceremony was attended by rabbis and Chabad representatives, and an interfaith prayer service will be held later in the day.
