Zelensky Commemorates Jewish Massacre at Babyn Yar on 82nd Anniversary

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the site of the Babyn Yar massacre to commemorate the 82nd anniversary of one of the largest mass murders of Jews in the Holocaust. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with a former top Wagner mercenary commander to oversee volunteer fighter units in Ukraine. Norway joined other countries in banning entry of Russian-registered passenger cars, and Russia signed a decree calling up 130,000 citizens for military service. Additionally, seven EU countries ordered ammunition to aid Ukraine, and Russian athletes will be able to compete at the Paris Paralympics after the International Paralympic Committee voted against a full ban of Russia. The UK imposed sanctions on officials in annexed Ukrainian regions, and Russia claimed to have downed 11 Ukrainian drones overnight.
