Tuberculosis Case Confirmed at SDSU
A former employee of Aztec Shops at San Diego State University has tested positive for tuberculosis (TB). The university is working with the Health and Human Services Agency to contact employees who may have been exposed to the bacteria. No additional cases have been reported, and the university has organized no-cost TB testing for identified close contacts. The potential exposure occurred between February and June at the Charles B. Bell, Jr. Pavilion. Symptoms of active TB include cough, fever, night sweats, and weight loss.
