Avelo, the ultra-low-cost carrier, has announced its biggest single expansion since launching in 2021, adding nine new routes from Wilmington, Delaware, to a total of 14 cities. The expansion marks the largest number of destinations Wilmington Airport has offered in its history. Avelo CEO Andrew Levy said the strong demand generated out of the gate is a testament to the convenient, affordable, reliable, and caring air service Avelo has introduced since its airline took flight in February.
Avelo is adding nine new destinations from Wilmington Airport starting in June, bringing the total number of destinations to 14. Tickets are on sale now for as low as $29. The move will create 35 new jobs at the airport, bringing the total to over 100. The new destinations include Daytona Beach, Nashville, Greenville, Raleigh, Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, Savannah, Charleston, and Cocoa Beach.
