Australia awards $10b frigate contract to Japan's Mitsubishi after fierce competition
The Australian Government has selected the upgraded Japanese Mogami-class frigate as the preferred platform for its new general purpose frigates, aiming to enhance its naval capabilities with faster delivery, increased missile capacity, and local construction of the remaining ships, as part of a broader plan to expand and modernize the Royal Australian Navy.
