Aurélien Pradié, a 37-year-old MP from the centre-right Les Républicains party, has become a rising star in French politics after scuppering a government vote on pension reforms. He has rock star status in his rural constituency and is not ruling out a run for the presidency. Pradié's rapid political rise was done the old fashioned way - door to door, village by village.
