"Unveiling the Mysteries of Solar Eclipses: NASA's Rocket Launch and Animal Reactions"

NASA will launch three rockets into the moon's shadow during the upcoming partial solar eclipse to study the effects of the sudden drop in sunlight and temperature on Earth's upper atmosphere. The project, named Atmospheric Perturbations Around The Eclipse Path (APEP), aims to investigate changes in the ionosphere and their impact on communication and satellite signals. The rockets will carry scientific instruments to measure electric and magnetic fields, density, and temperature, providing valuable data for understanding and predicting disturbances in the ionosphere.

NASA's Rocket Launch to Study Annular Solar Eclipse's Shadow

NASA scientists will launch three sounding rockets as part of the Atmospheric Perturbations around the Eclipse Path (APEP) mission to measure changes in the atmosphere during the annular solar eclipse on October 14. The rockets will target the ionosphere, where temperature and density changes during the eclipse can affect satellite communications. The data collected will help understand and model the perturbations in the ionosphere caused by eclipses. The rockets will also be relaunched during the total solar eclipse in 2024.
