Texas Boy, 10, Fights for Life in NYC ICU
A Texas family's dream birthday trip to New York City turned tragic when their 10-year-old son, Riker Stippick, became violently ill and was induced into a coma at a New York City ICU. Doctors suspect he may have an arteriovenous malformation, which caused an aneurysm and excruciating pain. Surgeons had to perform a procedure to drain blood and fluid from his brain. The family is now waiting for Riker to wake up from the coma and for further diagnosis, while their church's support and a GoFundMe campaign have provided financial and emotional support.
