"Poland's Massive Military Parade Marks Historic Cold War Revival"
Poland staged its largest military parade since the Cold War, showcasing its defense capabilities and seeking to strengthen its military preparedness in the wake of the conflict in Ukraine. Around 2,000 soldiers from Poland and other NATO countries participated in the parade, accompanied by 200 pieces of defense equipment and various aircraft. The country's right-wing government, led by the Law and Justice party, has been increasing defense spending and procurement of weapons, aiming to double the size of the army and allocate 4% of the nation's economic output to defense. The parade comes ahead of Poland's general election in October.
