Ardmore Michelin Plant to Close, Impacting 1,400 Jobs
Michelin has announced the gradual closure of its Ardmore tire manufacturing plant by the end of 2025 or sooner, impacting approximately 1,400 employees. Rubber-mixing operations will continue at the plant, but Michelin stated that the facility is not cost-competitive and further investments would negatively affect other US sites in their network. Staff reductions will begin in mid-2024, with a plan to continue reducing staff through 2025.
