"Texas Faces Return of Arctic Chill"

After a brief warm spell, Texas is experiencing a return of the arctic chill with freezing temperatures and gusty winds. A freeze is expected across the state, except for the Borderland and Rio Grande Valley. Southerly winds and rain chances will increase on Sunday, leading to a multi-day stretch of thunderstorm chances for the eastern half of Texas. There is a low chance for freezing rain in Texoma and parts of North Texas on Sunday night into Monday morning, with potential impacts on elevated surfaces. Next week is expected to be very wet for the eastern half of Texas, with the possibility of flooding rains and a low-end threat for severe storms on Tuesday and Wednesday in South-Central Texas.
