Apollo astronaut Frank Borman, who commanded the first mission to orbit the moon, has passed away at the age of 95. Borman was a true American hero and served as the commander of the Apollo 8 mission, humanity's first mission around the Moon in 1968. He also played a critical role in the Gemini 7 mission and later led the team that reengineered the Apollo spacecraft. Borman continued his aviation work as the CEO of Eastern Airlines after his NASA career.
