Punkt MC03 bets on privacy to deliver nearly a week of battery life
At CES 2026, Punkt unveiled the MC03, a privacy-first Android phone running AphyOS. It keeps data from leaking by using a Vault of trusted, non-data-leaking apps and a sandboxed Google Play option, plus a manual privacy dial to curb background activity. Punkt says the device can last up to six days on a charge, aided by its lightweight OS and restricted data exchange; the battery is swappable for $50, and the base price is $700 with a $12/month optional privacy subscription. Built in Germany with EU repair commitments, the MC03 signals Punkt’s privacy-focused approach beyond typical smartphones.
