Two women and a dog were shot and killed in a neighborhood in Apex, North Carolina, leaving the community in shock and disbelief. The alleged perpetrator, Harry Hardman, was apprehended by police after shooting the victims with a handgun and being found with multiple guns, including an AR-15, in his home. The incident occurred after the women approached Hardman following a call to police about his disruptive behavior. Brad Pitt has decided to halt production on his upcoming Formula 1 movie, Apex, after being called a "scab" for continuing to film during the SAG-AFTRA strike. SRAM has introduced the new Apex AXS, a groupset designed for gravel bikes and aimed at price-conscious riders. The groupset is exclusively available as a 1x setup and features a mullet setup, offering enormous gear ranges on a 1x setup. The new groupset won’t be exclusive to the AXS interface, i.e. wireless shifting, and there will also be a fully analogue offshoot. The mechanical Apex groupset features a newly developed rear derailleur and matching controls, expanding the portfolio with some exciting components in the lower-priced segment.
SRAM has released its new Apex groupset, which is now 1x12 only, dropping the front derailleur and adding a cog, making it SRAM’s first 12-speed DoubleTap mechanical road group. The groupset includes wireless AXS and mechanical options, with gearing and options to fit every type of rider. The XPLR gravel groups have a cassette that sits between road and mountain bike range, with 10-44 cassettes, giving groadies the closer gear steps they like for drop bar bikes, but with the necessary range for off-road exploration. The Apex groupset is compatible with almost every part of their other groups, and the Apex AXS derailleurs will shift the 10-44, 11-44, and the smaller 10-36 road cassette. The Apex Mechanical will only shift the 10/11-44 cassettes.
The suspect who was shot and killed by an SBI agent at an Apex sporting goods store over a suspected shoplifting incident has been identified as 18-year-old Dayve Sanchez. The SBI agent who opened fire is 29-year-old Denzel Ward. The woman involved in the case is in the hospital and is not facing charges at this time. Officers are investigating the shooting that took place on Tuesday.
