Eli Lilly Invests $5.3B to Expand Production Amid Rising Drug Demand
Eli Lilly has announced a historic $5.3 billion investment to expand its manufacturing site in Lebanon, Indiana, bringing its total investment to $9 billion. This expansion aims to boost production of antidiabetic and weight loss medications, Zepbound and Mounjaro. The company has committed over $18 billion to new and existing manufacturing sites in the U.S. and Europe since 2020, creating thousands of jobs. The Lebanon facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2026.
