Czech Protesters Challenge Government's Pro-Western Stance
Thousands of supporters of the pro-Russian Czech opposition party, PRO movement, gathered in Prague to protest against the country's centre-right government, criticizing its economic management and military support for Ukraine. The protest called for a veto on Ukraine's NATO membership and expressed admiration for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's nationalist policies. Protesters also condemned the government's military aid to Ukraine and its handling of the economy, which has suffered from double-digit inflation and underperformance compared to European peers.
